Wood Slat Room Divider

The first of its kind in North America, we designed our Wood Slat Room Divider to be an innovative and stylish partition that creates separation in a space, while simultaneously elevating the aesthetic appeal. 

Meticulously crafted with a high-density MDF core and real hardwood (Walnut or Oak species) veneer, each slat is perfectly straight and dimensionally stable, every time. No need to worry about warping or twisting, ever.

The slats come pre-finished; the Walnut slats are stained for a warm, natural tone and finished with a satin lacquer. The European slats are finished with 3 coats of satin clear coat lacquer. The Black Oak slats are Red Oak veneer, painted with a water-based satin black finish.

Included with every order is our patent-pending hardware kit, which allows each slat to be rotated 360º, and all wood slats have CNC-drilled holes on each end to make installation a breeze.

Not only that, but the hardware allows you to move and remove the slats without damaging them - the spring-loaded design keeps the slats securely in place, while still allowing them to be easily removed in seconds when needed.

While we make every effort to accurately represent the wood tone of our products, wood is a natural product with variability - please order samples to confirm that the wood finish is perfect for your space.

• Price is per box. Each box contains four (4) wood slats in your chosen finish and length.
• One hardware kit is included for every box in your order.
• To install, screw or adhere the included plates to your floor and ceiling, respectively. Screws are included in the hardware kit.
• Next, use a screwdriver to fasten the included hardware to each slat using the included screws and predrilled holes.
• From there, the slats can be easily fit into the floor and ceiling plates, making for a simple and low-profile installation.
• Printed installation instructions included with every box.

What do I need for installation?

Hardware and the needed screws are included. You will need:

• Drill
• Level
• Laser level
• Measuring tape
• Pencil

What height should my ceiling be?

Thanks to the spring-loaded hardware design, your ceiling can be between a range of heights for the slats to be installed out-of-the-box.

If your ceiling is too short, the slats can be easily cut down to length. If your ceiling is too high, you can add a header and/or footer piece to add extra height and "frame" your room divider project.

240cm slats:

• Acceptable ceiling height range: 95.25” - 96.5” (242cm-245cm). The slats can easily be cut down to length on site if needed.

270cm slats:

• Acceptable ceiling height range: 107.3” - 108.3” (272cm-275cm). The slats can easily be cut down to length on site if needed.

Can I cut the slats?

Yes, absolutely. The wood slats are easy to cut, we recommend a circular saw or mitre saw with a standard wood blade for best results. The pre-drilled holes for the hardware are 40mm (1.57") deep, so any cuts of more than that length to either end will require you to drill the holes for the hardware again.

Can I hang things, like hooks or art, from the slats?

We can't recommend hanging anything from the slats. Always consult a professional.

How do I wash the slats?

To occasionally remove dust, the slats can be wiped down gently with a dry cloth. The wood is pre-finished to protect the wood.
